There are help files available across the Net that may help you in this process. All you have to do is search for them. I found a few videos which will walk you step by step across the installation process.
Thru tutorialized television, an internet website, I found a video tutorial that is perfectly appropriate for this subject and you'll be able to watch the mouse and where the user clicks on the Joomla software, right there in front of you. For folks who do not would like to follow a video tutorial, there are step by step instructions available on the web, too.
To install a Joomla template, you may wish to have your template readily available. On the back end side of your website ( where the administrator, editor and the alike will log in ) is where you'll need to be in order to complete the installation process. If you do not have access to the back end, you will not be in a position to install a new theme for your site.
Once you have downloaded the design you'll need to locate the folder that it was downloaded to and then extract it to a Joomla template folder that has subfolders called PSD, HTML and Joomla Template. You can take the contents and move them by employing Winzip or another software program which has the same capacities. Once you have extracted the template and moved it, you will leave it alone for the present.
Next, you'll need to log in to your websites administrator account. The Joomla control panel page should appear when you have done this. You'll then have to run your mouse over the "Installers" tab found at the apex of the page. This can then bring up a menu and you'll need to select the Design-site option.
You'll then be directed to the design upload page. On the current page, you will have to click the browse button. Now, locate the folder in which you moved the removed files to in the 1st part of this process. Once you have found it, highlight it by double clicking on it and it should appear in the box. Next, click the zip file found within the folder and click "open". Now, the pop up box should have disappeared and you are back on the install theme page. The trail should already appear in the box and now all you have got to do is simply click the "upload and install" button.
Now, when the uploading has returned a successful signal, click on the continue button. On the subsequent page you'll need to select the template that you simply opened by clicking in the Radio Button to the left of it. Once you have done this, look up at the top and find the "Default" button and click on it. Now, you're done! All you have to do is reload your site page and your new theme should be online!
